Icon5 Transmission swap

I am driving an 01 Civic DX, and my transmission is leaking fluid and barely shifting after topping up and putting stop leak in. I am just going to break down and buy a new transmission, and was wondering if there was a manual transmission that could work with both the D-series engines and a K-series, because I dont want to spend all the money on a transmission just to have to get a new one in a few months when i get the K swap.

My automatic died in my 01 Civic EX.
I put in a used JDM transmission from Japan and it works perfectly. Had 40,000 miles on it.
The only issue I have is it turned on the CEL and it is on all the time.
I can shut it off but it will come back on within 50 miles so I don't bother.
They say this is a difference in the computer programing between Jap and US and no fix has yet to be found.

You realize the D series and K series rotate in opposite directions from each other, right?
