Rear coil overs don't fit Civic HX?
I bought a used set of Eibach non-adjustable coil overs. The seller had them on his EK hatch and had pictures. On my 1998 HX, the fronts fit fine and the ride height is perfect for what I want. The rears however, have two problems. The forks on the bottom are wider and shorter than the originals. It looks like the control arm may rub due to the shorter fork. I can use spacers for the width difference, but I'll need longer bolts. I've searched in Google and through the forums here, I've come across mentions of using spacers for similar situations, but haven't found much in depth information. I called the Honda dealer and according to the parts guy (who didn't seem very good or caring) the bolts for my HX are the same as a 1999 EX. What is different about my HX that these don't bolt right on? Any suggestions to make them fit?
All 96-00 rear lower arms are the same.
The lower damper bushes from 92-95 Civics (and 94-01 Integras and all del sols) are the same, but thicker. This necessitates spacers when using rear dampers that claim to fit all 92-00 Civics/94-01 Integras.
The bolts, as I remember, are the same for all, but I reserve the right to be incorrect here.
Something funny is going on - do you have pics of your situation?

The main problem I am running into is my stock bolt isn't quite long enough to tighten down. When the bolt is installed, the tapered end just barely peeks through the welded on nut. It spins in, but again, will not tighten.
Order a pair of EG rear lower shock bolts for the LCA's... and you can either use a stack of washers on either side of the LCA between the lower shock fork (evenly between the front and back side)... or you may be able to find a part number for the Tokico spacers that are normally included with each rear '92-00 rear strut.
There's the info I was hoping for! I didn't know EG bolts are longer and I didn't want to use a random bolt from the hardware store. I already had washer stacks but if I can find legit spacers I'll go with that. Thank you!
Yep. The part number you need for the bolt is 90172-SK7-A01.
Koni Sports definitely come with spacers to make them work on the 96-00 lower arms, but you can likely source some M10 or 3/8" washers from Ace or whatever. Try to get ones that are as large in OD as possible. The spacers are les fiddly than a stack of washers, but if you get thicker washers you should only need 2 or so per side of the fork.
Good Luck.
