ok, this is very dumb...but im also very clueless so bear with me. whats a head? like in the case that i would get a new carb setup and a "85 si head" since i have a 86 dx. im kinda....umm dumbfounded over this. thanks.

 

it is the part of the motor that has your valves and cams in it. it is also where your intake and header bolts to..
here is a pic to help you this is the head with the valve cover taken off..

wow you got some rusty stock heat sheild on your header..haha why not get a new one before it falls apart..jk
