Misfire on 1 cylinder
Okay basically, I got a d15b7 there was a tiny hole in a coolant hose and I didn’t see it. One day I was driving home and I wasn’t paying attention to the temp needle. By the time I noticed it was way up. I don’t think I drove it that long running hot. I replaced the hose and refilled the coolant. I noticed nothing was too out of order no weird sounds or anything at all. But after driving it and getting it to temp at idle it starts to misfire on cylinders 1. I replaced the spark plug wires, spark plugs, and fuel injectors. I also compression tested I got 175-180 in all 4. I also rebuilt the distributor about a month ago. When removing the spark plugs I looked in the cylinders and it’s all dry in there but again, once the car is to temp and it’s idling after a drive, it starts to misfire. Basically my theory is that there could be a crack in the headgasket. Does anyone have any idea as to what else I could do? If not that? I’m going to go ahead and change it out for an OEM one but I figured incase it’s not that maybe someone has dealt with something like this before.
If you think you have a crack in the headgasket, watch your coolant in the rad with the cap off looking for bubbles as it's warming up. If you don't see any, check your distributor cap and make sure it's not cracked anywhere and the points inside are not all crusty. Could scrape off the crustyness from the rotor and cap points to see if it helps. ?
