Anyone know why this hole right under the fill cap on the CVT trans is exposed? it's a 2020 LX 2.0L only has 28k miles. I recently had my CVT fluid changed, and I checked on the vent cap to make sure it's clear which it was, but I noticed fluid around my fill plug similar to the first pic and this hole exposed, I'm not sure if dirt can get into the trans from this hole?
That hole allows moisture trapped in that area to flow out and down the front of the transmission case so as not to puddle there. It doesn't go inside the case.

Thanks for the reply, so it's basically a drain?
I'm going to assume the oil on top is just CVT fluid from when it was recently filled. Maybe the tech didn't clean it up? Ill clean that area up and check back if I see more fluid.
