hey.
I have a 94 civic and i want to make the vtec go hard so everyone around can here i got it.
I cant even hear it stock, so I installed a vtec controller and tried setting it a bit lower but it doesnt help, cant hear any difference really.
does the d series vtec not have the nice changeover noise?
I was thinking if that doesnt work i can put a pod filter on it but I dont want it making a ton of noise on the highway when im tryna just drive.
Also the vtec controller made the check engine lamp come on, is that normal?

 

Throw the vtec controller in the trash.

D series don't pop as hard. Usually an intake will make it more apparent tho.

You probably don't have the VTEC-E. Common mistake. Only the VTEC-E(xtreme) will crack hard on a D series. Check the valve cover, should clearly say VTEC-E.

 

That's the super rare "High Performance" version, right ?!?
