1.5l suddenly started giving a code 9 fault after 34 years and 146k miles. Engine runs no differently. Car rebuilt 7 years ago. Code shouldn't exist for the 1.5l so does that mean a bad ecu or a wire integrity issue fooling it? It seems to me that this code isn't possible for a 1.5L since it refers to a sensor that only exists on a 1.6L. Anyone had this happen? How has it been cured? Forums I've read shed little light on actually fixing this issue.
