Default 1988 civic wagon floor board wet driver side

Can anyone tell me the name of a plastic piece that goes on each side of the seats. It is under the carpet on both sides where the shifter is. Seems to be hollow plastic.

I am trying to track down a water leak that is getting the front driver side floor wet. I don’t see any obvious leak area. I thought it might be coming from the window, but it don’t feel anything wet on the door panel area.

With pulling back the carpet I found these plastic pieces and just wondering if water could be traveling through them?

No idea of the plastic thing your talking about with out a pic but - try removing your drivers seat then lift up the entire carpet section (from the pedals to the back portion of where the seat would sit) and have a look at the drain plugs on the chassis floor, see if they have corroded or lifted and leaking through.

a couple pictures. Looks like it forms the floor shape and continues under the seat.

Those are hvac ducts. Doubt you're getting water through them . Take your A pillar trim off and check for leaks around the windshield. I have a leak that gets the carpet under the pedals wet. Turned out to be the top of the windshield. With the trim on it would find it's way behind the pedals. Now it drips on the front seat

Yeah mine was similar, I had a rust spot in the lower passenger corner of the windshield a few years back. I cleaned it up and used POR-15 to treat the rust and body seam seal to fill the gap. Not pretty but it hasn't leaked since.
