Default Most reliable K series variations

Hello everyone, I know the reputation the K series have, they are obviously great 4 cylinders, arguably one of the best in terms of reliability and tunability. I was just curious which variations are the most reliable and have the least amount of problems, Im more interested in the k20's but if anyone has enough knowledge to make a list with both of the most reliable variations or if there are some outliers for unreliability that'd be helpful as well. The ones im most interested in are the K20A(*hp)/A2/Z/Z3 engines but wouldnt mind one of the lower ones that make around 150-160hp and 130-160 ft-tq if they are just as reliable and are a lot cheaper, I know the k20A(hp) and k20A2 are very reliable, dont know so much about the rest.

*hp = high performance

K20a.org may have a more active K series community - Not trying to drive you away, just making sure you know of that site as well.

This is a VERY general... and subjective... question. There is no right answer... only opinion.

How is it subjective? is it subjective because they're all so close in reliability? or do they each have different problems?

For one thing, it's too generalized to be anything other than subjective. If you said stock motors, that would have provided specifics to actually apply statistical data to remove opinion.

As it is, subject a's turbo K vs subject b's turbo K vs subject c's NA K is rife with opinionated perspective challenges and fits your wide open query.

The other direction you could go is query what K parts offer the best base platform to build for the least amount of "upgrade" cost. Some K blocks need less to get the same results as others for example. But this is getting specific, filtering out subjective opinions.
