I bought this engine from a local importer and has about 120,000 Kilometers. I changed the piston rings, head gasket, new head bolts, lapped the valves and new valve stem seals.

I am breaking in the engine by running it in idle for now and keeping the rpm under 4k. I noticed that i have a coolant or maybe oil seeping on the left side of the engine (in the picture). I used radiator pressurizing kit and just drops very slowly but holds pressure at 14 psi steady for 30 mins. I made sure the warpage is in spec (its not warped at all). I followed ALL Data and pro demand procedures, everything is torqued to spec.

No bubbles in coolant. but has oil on top of the piston? Maybe rings havent sat yet? Any advice in whats going on?

All cylinders are 150 psi equal on cold and 180 psi on hot engine, no variations.



I can see that area getting wet minimal where the head gasket, head and block meets.

That blue gasket is your issue.

But also make sure it isn't running down the side of the head right above there. Also figure out what fluid it is.

 

Which gasket do you recommend?

 

Quick Update, Took everything off, sprayed the mls gasket with copper spray and no more issues.
