I know they are called idiot lights for a reason, but when the hell is the oil light suppose to come on? I drove almost 100 miles with the oil level below the 1st marking on the stick.

p.s. How can i cause a cel, without damaging anything?

 

the oil light comes on when the engine has almost run out of oil . drive it another 200 miles and see what happens. my light came on one time, and when i checked my oil level there was no oil on the dip stick.

why would you wanna cause a cel? it sounds like youre trying to scare somebody.

 

This is dumb.....take the dipstick and put it up your bum.

If your oil is low, add some. Don't wait for a stupid light. It's like using your turn signal after you make the turn (wait...that made no ******* sense).
