Default Ek k swap fuel rail

Hey I have a k20z3 I heard somewhere you can use stock fuel rail so I got the fittings and realized that there’s no return line. Do I need it? Can I just plug the ek return like?

You can use the stock K fuel rail as a dead head system. However the EK doesn't have a fuel pressure regulator in tank so you would put a fuel pressure regulator on the firewall. Then dead head the fuel rail off the regulator and return off the regulator to tank.

Or buy an aftermarket fuel rail with a return but you will still need a fuel pressure regulator.

sorry I’m alittle confused so I’d have to put a regulator between filter and rail but how would I get a return line. From the regulator?

Yeah so the regulator has to send fuel back to tank to release pressure to regulate it.

Then the fuel rail dead heads off the regulated fuel pressure port off the regulator.

There's probably a diagram of this.

You MUST use a stock fuel rail if you run a fuel system like the diagram above. This is the only way you will get a reasonable distribution of the fuel to each fuel injector.
