15inch max tire size question on EG9
Hello guys , tried searching everywhere couldnt find much information.
I have an EG9 (civic ferio 5th gen 4door) , I currently have 15x6.5 ET 40 (not sure about the ET) , due to some upgrades , we are in need of some bigger tires.
I was looking at 205/50/15 , 205/40/15 or 215/45/15 , or I could move up to 16 inch wheel and I guess kinda similar dimensions , 205/215
Right now I have k-sport coilovers which at some point this year will be changed for some tein flex z.
For wheels also I can move up to a 7 wide one on 15"
I will fender roll both front and rear ,
My question is will 215/40-45/15 will fit both front and rear? only with fender rolling?
I understand that rim size also will matter , cant be too aggressive with the offset.
Car is not that lowered and nor it will be , function > style on this particular build

I was able to get 15x8 +20 wheels to fit well on my EG with fender rolling. 225/45/15 tires.
Given the option something in the +30-35 offset range would likely be better.

I'm on my work computer now, but I have some old pics here of that setup: https://honda-tech.com/forums/group-.../#post51579447
XXR 15x8 +20
225/45/15
CSII Coilovers
Skunk2 front and rear camber kit
Rolled front & rear fenders, no liner
I don't remember what my camber angles were. Rubbing issues were very minimal unless I dropped the car extremely low. A bigger offset like I mentioned in the range of +30 -> +35 would likely have fit even better. I will also say that 225's on the Civic really contribute to a more aggressive and sporty look, 225s look pretty wide on the car. Other people have made comments about that too from my car.

Those are some serious meats , looks very freaking nice , also removed the liner aswell , we just need into fender rolling (internally) , to be honest was more concerned for the rears for the 215s , but it should be alright , since you managed to make it work with 225s
Some of the 200tw 205/50/15 tires run closer to 215/50/15, like the Falken RT660, which may rub in the rear without rolling.
Currently am using them on 15x8 Enkei pf01 +35

I'm in the process of piecing together my end-game build, which will have an even more aggressive setup. I'm now going with:
15x8 +35
245/40/15 front
225/45/15 rear
Bring on the CHONK!
This will obviously be tight and require some fine tuning with alignment and camber angles, and I'm sure to rub at least a little at full lock.

like you said, as long as you dont lower it you wont have to worry as much but i believe 205-215 is the widest you could go whether or not youre lowered
Thank you for the info , decided to go with 205/50/15s , had to repair a section of the exhaust today and while it was on the lift , saw the rears and I believe will pass due to height and some camber there is and in the front should be ok , ns2rs are kinda thick but it should be fine!
But I will most likely fender roll both front and rear just to be 100% sure , due to I will move on to some tein coilovers!
