94 civic won’t start please help!!
Hey guys just join the forums so i got a good one here. I have a 94 civic ex coupe auto. Bought it with a bent valve cylinder 4 so i fixed it put new gaskets everything. Now it won’t start it was running before with the dead cylinder. Check compression all four cylinders have good compression. Seen there was no spark at the spark plug, just to ignition coil no spark there and check the ignitor just in case. Replace the coil got a new one in there still no fire. Seen that the negative side of the coil had no pulsing power when cranking. Used a known good disturbitor and still no fire also seen that there was no fuel priming when turning key on. Jump the fuel pump at Connector to see if fuel pump was not working which it is. Got a new main relay for replacement still no fuel or spark. Any answers that might help me lead myself the right way.
Did you happen to remove any ground wires coming off the engine harness and forget to reinstall or possibly put back on with a poor connection? Almost seems like the ecu is not being grounded.
yeah i made sure my grounds were placed back on where i found them before taking anything off. There was an issue where the main power wire to the inside of the vehicle was loose and was pretty much connecting and disconnecting while work on car making the dash lights coming on and off.
Try that as well still nothing im seeing no spark coming out again. Seems like there is a wiring issue because i got a new main relay and the pump won’t prime. Could the ecu maybe messed up with the main power wire from the fuse box was coming in and out of current with the battery?

Haven’t replaced the ecm yet but i will try i have extra ones at home. I did probe the main relay connector and notice there is no power from the blk/Yel wire and blu/wht which are ignition 12v input wires.
You could (I think for these) check #31-15amp fuse in the engine compartment and if its good, check using a multimeter by probing the 26 pin connector on the ecu A7 green/yellow wire to see if it's supplying power to the main relay? But then again you have no spark, the fuse would be the first thing to look at.
Also just double check the ground wire from the engine harness to thermostat housing making sure it's on nice and snug with a clean connection.

I changed the ecu looks like its burnt out smell like a bunch of burnt plastic so place the replacement in and fuel pump finally primes up and im getting fuel now. Turn the key over and there is a backfire but no start.
