Eg weird noise when slowly taking off
Hey yall, my son's got a eg coupe b16a motor we noticed a weird noise. No noise doesn't start until after the car is warmed up but it only happens when you slowly take off like if you come to a stop and then go to take off you'll hear it for a couple seconds and then it's fine while you're driving. We just replaced the passenger side CV axle because the boot was ripped so we know it's not that.. I'm attaching this link so u can watch the video we recorded so u can hear the noise https://streamable.com/rk6yam
Thanks

yes.
that looks like it did not happen recently, they have been torn for a while... do not delay replacing them. When they fail they tend to fail catastrophically and very bad things can happen very quickly.
edit: the bolt to the right of it looks strange too (brake pin slider I believe) that entire pin to the bolt should be covered by the rubber boot to keep the grease from being washed away and rust from forming, the inner part of the seal looks pulled away from the part as well... this suggests that the slider pin may be frozen and not sliding correctly as the pad wears. The bolt doesn't look tight either... then again maybe it's just the angle/lighting and my bad memory.

I don't have any photo editing SW other than paint on this computer or I'd have done a better job and resized it to fix the screen better.
Red is the bolt's head and bulk of the exposed pin, yellow is where the boot looks slipped off a bit.
