d17 hunting idle ( back story)
Bought a 05 civic about a year ago with a snapped timing belt. The car was being used and DD by previous owner up until the belt broke. I bought the car and finally was able to get around to doing the belt. Everything is fine except when i start it it has a hunting idle. It hunts from 1200-2100 rpm. I have no codes at all. I pulled the IACV today and cleaned it and it didnt fix the problem. I dont want to just keep throwing parts at it so I wanted your guys' opinion on what to check. Its been sitting for over a year and im pretty sure the previous owner didn't drive it like this. There doesn't appear to be any vacuum leaks. When i disconnect the TPS the idle shoots up to about 3k and stops hunting. It hunts regardless of a cold start or it being warm. Thoughts and suggestions appreciated.
The car runs and drives fine except the hunting idle btw, timing is not off, coolant is not low either.
