Default H&R Race vs. Sport or any other Springs

I am going to be starting out on my car sometime and am wondering what I should get. Ride is no big deal to me, the only thing I am worried about is my car being too low. My friend has a Integra GSR w/ sport springs and it sits really low. Anyone have pictures or have good advice as to what Springs I should get (it doesn't have to be H&R) Oh, I will be running these with KYB AGX's. Thanks for all the opinions in advance.

i've heard alot of success stories with people using AGX's with Ground Control coilovers.....i guess if you want a decent drop you can go with eibach's pro-kit rather than sportlines.....with coilovers you can adjust to your likings(sp?)

Will the ride be too low? I figured since the stock civic is higher than a GSR it wouldn't be too big of a deal.

sportlines advertise a 1.75" drop.....in reality when they settle, you're looking at a 2.2"+ drop.....a little too low for my taste......pro-kit from eibach advertises a 1.25:" drop i believe ( i could be wrong) but it settles and makes for an agressive ride but comfortable ride with AGX's....my opinion would be to go with ground controls though

i did the washer trick in the back and i haven't noticed uneven wear on the back or front tires yet. of course i am a huge idiot and still have not gotten an alignment. i think i might have some toe problems up front though because i just rotated my tires and noticed the fronts seemed a little too worn compared to the backs. the wear is even across the whole tire, so i don't think it's the camber and i'm not sure if toe can cause this. does anyone know?

your welcome. the back is slightly higher. the sports drop the front 1.75 inches and the back is supposed to be lowered 1.5. i have the back perch on my neuspeed/koni's lowered one notch, but i may go to the bottom one to even it out more. it does seem the angle of the picture seems to exaggerate it more than it really is though. plus, i think the black car makes the line of the wheelwell harder to see.

i have H&R rce with koni yellows, dropped 1 perch level all the way around. I have a link if you want to get an idea of hwo it looks. Its little more tighter than the sports, which i had before, but its still nice. I track this car as well. http://www.pbase.com/image/4089758

Excuse the crappy quality pics:

I've got AGX's and the H&R Sports. It's a great setup heightwise, I can still go over peedbumps without worrying. Ride is still easily tolerable, and the handling is WAY better than it was. I'd love to feel what a car like mine good do some some $1500-$2000 coilovers and race tires if it's like this on $470 spring/shock combo and Kumho 712's.

Yea, Night Minx... What kind of Camber issues do you have? If any how did you fix them. I have 95 GSR wheels I'd like for the wheel well to just come down to the tires. Sorry for keeping this going but I just want to get this thing right

I only put about 5000 heavily abused miles on my car per year. And Ive gone through 3 sets of wheels in the past 3 summers. So, I can't really tell you how bad tire wear is cus I have never driven on a set long enough to find out. Although you can see gradual inner tire wear, I'm not even close to wearing my FM901's down. I have no camber kits. Primarily cus I havent found a high quality kit for the front upper A arm for the civic yet. And at this low, if you hit a big bump, the extended length of aftermarket upper A arms would prolly result in hitting the chassis in conjunction with the bottoming out of the bumstops. As far as camber issues, I had the car aligned at a place that specializes in race prepped cars. I think rear camber was -2.5 degrees and front was close to -3 degrees on both sides. I have the paperwork at home-im at school. We shimmed the rear of my brothers accord using washers. Count about every washer as an added 1 degree of positive camber. It seemed to work well.
On a final note, you can get Dunlop sport FM901's for $79/ea, as well as many other quality aftermarket tires. And at that price being so inexpensive, id rather go through tires than use a aftermarket camber kit. Ill prolly end up getting a new set of wheels before I found out how fast these wear.
-Sorry that didnt help too much-
