Default 7thgen EX Civic w/ nitrous question.

I have a friend with nitrous on his 7thgen civic (01) The thing pulls really hard when on the bottle through 1st and 2nd. any reason why it would just give up in 3rd? Its a nitrous express kit with a bottle warmer (if this helps any). Any thing else you need just post up and I will answer it to the best of my knowledge. I can tell you that nitrous is still coming on in 3rd cause u can feel it kick over, he has a wide open throttle setup. I know a 50 shot wouldn't drasticly change a cars performance. However there is a huge difference in how it pulls in 1st and 2nd then drops off significantly in 3rd. Is it just the gearing or? Thanks for your help in advance.

Well, depending on the setup, NO2 is only gonna work for 7 seconds at a time. That may be the reason is drops off in third, time's up. I am unfamiliar with the 7th gen's reaction to squeezing the bottle.. But, that's my answer. Mechanically, does the car run okay w/o the spray? Is it lurching or bogging down?

the car runs fine w/o the nitrous..
3rd gear isn't particularly long but its a bit longer then 1 and 2 is.
however u can be going about 75 in forth drop a gear engage nitrous and it still doesn't pull has hard it does in 1st and 2nd even with the rpms up and thats all you sprayed the nitrous.

Seems to me like you're just expecting more from it than it really delivers. My brother in law has a 2K2 Civic EX w/ a NX 50-shot and it pulls fine from 1-4 when I drive it on the bottle.

Line up with a 99-00 Si and punch it from like 60 (3rd), if you pull, your Nitrous is working just fine

he has a nx 50 wet shot with a bottle warmer to keep the pressure up.
1-2 is strong 3 is just a great noticible drop off
