Ignition switch swap
So I’m new to the Honda world. Picked up a 2002 civic, manual. So the ignition switch has been broke. I picked up a complete steering column from a 98. My question is can I swap out the 02 switch for the 98 switch or complete column?

No not likely, those are different generations.
Your year range for compatible parts is 2001 to 2005.
And key cylinders specifically 01-03. In 04-05 they went to the sidewinder key
