Again, i have a dumb question/comment. I have my accord and i have mt parents 98 subaru outback. Of course, after driving awd all my life, switching to a fwd is hard. It feels less responsive. Is it because of the awd, or cuz the car is subaru or something? Is there a way i can make the accord feel more like it goes when i press the gas?

What are the specs on the outback? I believe it has a similar engine to the impreza/WRX, minus the turbo, unles of corse it does have the turbo (might be an option) tell me, does the outbacks hood have a hood scoop?? or a better way of telling would be just pop the hood.
as far as AWD, yes... it will get you off the line in a hurry-makes sense, everything is pushing...

 

different cars man, accords are slow.......probably the gearing/stall of the accord tranny.

 

Turbo and Nitrous

 

awd will make you accelerate faster since all 4 wheels are helping to move your car, while on a FWD all the pressure is on teh front 2 wheels to move the whole car.

 

outback would be the family wagon rite?? if it is, yea those suckers are pretty darn quick.......i believe they're around 160 hp (give or take a few).
Subaru awd + horizontal boxer engine = responsiveness. Accords are slow, unless you do a swap or use fi. If you're not planning on neither of those, nuttin much can be done. Basic bolt-ons mite help a bit (i/h/e, test pipes i hear increases responsiveness too)

 

SOHCMAN, the outback does have a hood scoop, although it doesnt do anything. I suppose if you added a turbo for it, you could cut out the piece of plastic under the scoop that blocks air right now and put on an intercooler. The outback's engine is a 2.5 flat four that is almost identical to the 98-2001 impreza 2.5rs. 165 ponies, im guessing around 135 at the wheels.
Unfortunately for me, the accord is my mother's and the outback ismy fathers. Ive gotten permission to mod the hell out of the accord cuz im getting it when i go to college. But until then my mom said no turbo, nitrous, or engine swapping. Kind of limits what i can do. Not to mention my limited 16 year old budget

 

GEt an AEM CAI. Stop there. You will gain performance, and a cool sound at WOT, but just driving it will be pretty normal.
