Quick question about wheel hub/bearing (tried search)
I have a 95 S model del Sol and picked up the front brake setup off of a 97 VTEC del Sol. My question is, I am going to replace all components hubs, bearings, ect. And for the hubs do I use B16 ones or D15 ones and does it matter which ones I use?
You need the hubs specifically for the b16 because the axles are different front the d series. Bearings I am not sure, but would be wise just to get the b16 ones. All the brake components should be the same.
Sorry, thought you had the b16 motor in your car.. You'll need the d series set... I think the spline count is different between the b and d..
The outboard spline count is the same between D-series and B-series equipped Civics (26 spline), other than the 88-91 Civic STD and HF, which only have 23 splines. Therefore, you would not have to change your hubs on your 93 Del Sol.
Learn something new everyday.. Sorry OP.. I'm just so used to the older stuff like I have and had that stuck in my head for some reason.. Guess it doesn't really matter for the parts your intending on replacing for your car being either for a b or d series chassis..
