I have asked all my bad *** car budies and no body knows... On cold mornings my gsr swap will not start.
Regular mornings it runs perfect!!
Possible things i think it may be.....
I don't have my secondaries hooked up on my car. So it may be some kind of vacum hoes issue? but why only if the engine is cold would it not start?
Maybe some kind of choke issue?
Some sensor that changes its reading in the cold, and does not allow the car to start?
The battery is fine. The starter is fine. And it is getting fuel. It seems like something is cutting the motor off.
And when i say cold about 40-50 out side (not freezing)
Please help??? I had to bum rides today.
Sorry if this is written crappy i really can not see what i am typeing. Monitor here sucks!!!

i had a problem with my fuel pump relay awhile back. but it worked fine on a cold day... and had problems when it was warm. when i replaced it, about 20 bucks used.... problem went away. just a thought...to get the ball rolling. good luck.
40-50 IS COLD? bwuuuuuuuuuwaaaaaaaahahahhahahahaaaaaaaaa
the IAC is a wax sensor that is heat dependent, but I dont think that is your problem.
my guess is that your problem is not temperature related.
use other criteria to find the problem other than "its cold out"...
good luck

ok when you say it will not start, will it turn over??....or does it just not start at all as if you dont have a battery?....does it just keep bogging and not start?? this info will help us help you diagnose...also, is it obd2---got a CEL??

a few cold mornings (every time but today, real cold today)it will turn over and run to about 2500 rpms and cut off. Does not let me rev it any higher. So i would have to do that like ten times to get it to heat up enough to run.
today it would just turn the crank once and die. so it would not even heat up enough to get it to run.
obd 1 motor
it does kinda sound like its bogging.

sounds to me like it might be an ignition problem....check out your distributer/wires/cap/rotor....just a suggestion that wont take more than 5 minutes to check
