Del Sol Auto Center Console,
Hello, recently finished my auto to manual swap and had a question about the center console, I've read a few forums saying that they are identical and now I'm wondering how do I go about mounting the boot, has anyone does this before or know how to mount it, would appreciate it!
Not familiar with manual swapping a Del Sol, but I have done it on a Civic. For the Civic, you use two screws to hold the boot to the plastic console piece on the underside. The bosses to take the screws were already there. Pull the console off and look - it should be pretty obvious.
auto/5pd Del Sols utilized the same center shifter console. All you will need is a shift boot (w/bracket) and 2 black screws to mount it. The other end is pinched into the slots to hold it in place. I am using a factory ITR shift boot in mine.
Do not re-use the square round rubber trim. That is only needed for the auto shifter, acting as a dust seal.
