Hi I just purchased this car and I have to reverse lights.
Firstly, it does have an aftermarket radio so I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it. I read on another forum that having the radio switched out will disable the dome lights auto on on door open but already know the fix for that.
I have installed new light bulbs. The wiring to the back looks to be good. So I’m guessing it’s the backup light switch. Now the issue comes into play.
I have checked the switch and it is not getting any voltage when in gear so it’s likely to be a faulty switch.
my car has the 4 pin terminal with two ground wires on the bottom and on the top I have a green wire and a white wire. All the parts stores around me and rockauto only have the 2 terminal connector. My question is, will the 2 terminal connector work with this vehicle?

Edit: car is 1998 Honda Civic LX Sedan 5 speed manual (not swapped from auto)

 

Are you sure you're looking at the correct connector? The connector you described is for the oxygen sensor. The reverse switch is a two-wire sensor.
