Default 92-95 EX tranny with 92-95 DX/LX final drive? Is it possible?

Hello HT, I plan on getting a different D series transmission for my 92 civic VX because I dont like how long the gears are. I plan on getting a used D series and getting it rebuilt, I dont know anything about rebuilding transmissions but could I get a 92-95 civic EX / Del sol Si transmission and use the final drive gear out of a 92-95 DX, LX / Del sol S? im interested in doing this so I have shorter lower gears like I did in my 95 del sol but to still get good mileage on the highway going 75-85 like my VX gets. Ideally Id like the EX transmission with LX/DX final drive gear and the 88-91 CRX HF 5th gear but theres probably no chance a cable clutch gear will fit in a hydraulic. Anyways let me know if I can change the final drive gears or any of the 1-5 gears, thank you very much
