Default B16 tucked engine harness

Hey guys I just bought a tucked harness but I noticed it doesn’t have a vtec pressure switch plug but it has a vtec solenoid plug. So I just got ready to pin it in myself but noticed it has a cable in the pin already but no plug. Does anyone know what’s up. Since its a ticked harness did they make it somehow that I don’t need it?

Some people opt to not run the VTEC pressure switch, and just bypass it in their ECU (assuming they're on a chipped OEM ECU or a full aftermarket standalone). In my opinion, this is stupid, but whatever.

Where did you get this harness, or who made it?

I got it from Amazon. I have a p28 a52 obd1 b18c1 block with a b16 pr3-3 head if that helps. Link to harness.

If you wanted to run the VTEC pressure switch (I'd recommend this, and it's mandatory if you have a stock ECU and want VTEC to work), then you could simply get a plug kit and solder it together yourself. Since the wire is already pinned into the harness, you'd just need to find the other end and connect together what's needed.

Without seeing exactly what you have in front of you I can't say exactly, but that's the route I'd go. Best of luck with the Amazon harness, hopefully it all plugs in correctly and works reliably.

Is there anyway to find the other end with out cutting it open?

So you don't have the clip for the VTEC pressure switch, and you also can't find the other end of the D6 wire? If you don't see it coming out of the other end of the harness, it raises the question on if it'd even be worth trying to find it, since if it's cut too short you'd have to extend it to reach the VTEC solenoid anyway.

At this point I'd message the seller on Amazon and see what they say, hopefully something useful.

the manufacturer ended up doing the pressure switch bypass. So it ran good for me. The seller didn’t know **** about it so I just and to trace the wires.

Hi, I got the same harness. I was wondering how did you connect it to the left side of the car. The 20 pin connector that js supposed to connect to internal fuse box? I saw some adapters but I have no clue..

are you talking about the squareish plug on the driver side strut tower. Next to clutch master and brake booster?

My Rywire harness came the same way. On hondata smanager you can just click a box to bypass it, so it is not needed. If you are running a stock ECU, I would just wire in a new connector.
