Passenger window stuck down
I'm Frank, previous oil changer for my daughters 97 civic, has since been totaled.
My wife drives a 2017 accord, 4door, base model.
The last 4 months the passenger window would go down and struggle to come, by struggle I mean it would take like 10' before going up. Neither switch would activate the up, then with one of the pulls it would return to up position smoothly.
Two nights ago it was mistakenly pushed all the way down and would not come back up, multiple attempts over 24 hrs. Some research led me to believe it was the regulator (because it was intermittent). So purchased and installed a Doorman motor/regulator from O'Reileys.
To no avail, the window still goes down but won't come up.
Searched this forum and and applied the reset sequence 3 times, no fix.
Took it to a honda dealer for a 'window reset', they just replied with a text stating 'the part is not wired to honda specs'.
Any suggestions on how I should proceed? Should I let honda put in their part and be done? Are there auto glass companies that reset windows? It feels like honda has designed their vehicles so only their $175/hr technicians can work on them.
