Hello just wanted to know what this hose does? When the car is running the hose kinda flattens out like it needs a stronger hose it's like it's collapsing... it's hooked to the break fluid and the intake. I'll add photo
If it's collapsing, it's not a hose designed for vacuum. Just replace it.
how do we know if it's causing a problem like what are the symptoms for being collapsed like that. we took it to the Honda dealership he said it really wasn't that big of a deal
To see if it's collapsing, start the car, someone stand and watch while the other sits inside and pumps the brakes and/or presses and holds the brakes. Pumping tends to cause the most vacuum as you will notice the idle raise from it. If the hose collapses while pumping, you know the hose is ineffective.
