1999 Integra clutch pedal sinks to the floor
Hey guys just trying to see if anyone out there is having this issue or been through this and can give me a hand at figuring this out. The brake fluid in the clutch reservoir kept getting black and I noticed a leak by the master by the pedal assembly I replaced clutch master cylinder, clutch line, slave cylinder as well as replacing the clutch with a new flywheel and pressure plate. The pedal sinks to the ground and I’ve tried multiple methods of bleeding and I can’t seem to get any pressure. I’ve tried adjusting the push rod as well as the cylinder by the clutch pedal for more adjustment and still am not getting anywhere. When I bleed the system, fluid squirts out the bleeder valve so it doesn’t seem like the line is clogged but doesn’t get any pressure. Any ideas on what this could be ? The master cylinder and clutch line were first things I replaced and that’s when this problem surfaced. I was able to stop the black fluid from happening all the time by simply replacing the tube for the reservoir. Whenever I “gravity” bleed this system it does get pressure and feels normal but then after about 15 mins the pressure just fades away and then I can no longer get into any gears with the car running.
Sounds like you still have air in the system, you may need some help or a different method of bleeding the clutch. I know it took me multiple attempts on my S2K, the clutch would feel "ok" until I did a couple high RPM shifts and then it would get really soggy.
