2000 Civic LX Auto to Manual swap Y7 Throttle Body
Yet another thread for auto to manual swap. I have a 2000 Civic LX Auto and wanting to do the manual swap soon. Luserkid's writeup shows to change the intake manifold and throttle body into a Y8 but I would rather keep my Y7 intake mani if possible to reduce the cost https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-...4pics-1337459/
The part numbers for the throttle body are different:
auto TB: 16400-P2E-A51
manual TB: 16400-P2E-A01
I have everything except the throttle body and it is not available anymore. I am not sure if the parts numbers of the TB are different because the IACV is packaged, which has a different part number. I cannot find documents (at least with my searching skills or lack thereof) stating that the TB for auto and manual are the same. Can anyone confirm? I have looked in eBay but I cannot find any listing that specifies that the TB came from manual Y7.
Re: 2000 Civic LX Auto to Manual swap Y7 Throttle Body
I am pretty sure that all Y7s have 3-pin IACVs. you would only NEED to change the manifold if you are using an ECU for something other than a manual Y7.
If I remember, I can check my FSM to see what it says about the IACV differences auto to manual. my guess is that it's not significant in this case.
Re: 2000 Civic LX Auto to Manual swap Y7 Throttle Body
I will be using a Y7 manual ECU. I know that both Y7 auto and manual IACV are 3-pin. My confusion arises with the TB if the Y7 auto TB is the same as the Y7 manual TB.

I think what you are saying only matters if i plan to replace my IM into a Y8 manual, which i dont plan to, to reduce the cost of the swap
This is untrue... the EX Intake Manifold part number is 17100-P2P-A10. They are not similar at all...
I suspect you could use the auto T/B with little to no issue... and if not, go hunt a manual LX T/B from your local "pull-a-part" salvage yard and install it. Either will fit your auto I/M.
