Replacing timing belt, and one of the came is not aligned 2.3L Help
2000 Honda Accord 2.3L EX couple 5MT with about 190k.
Got the car used earlier this year.
This is the first time doing a timing belt job. I've watched a bunch of videos and feel confident in doing it. After I took off the top timing belt cover I lined up the top cam. Looked at the left balance shaft from top down and the marks are lined. On the RIGHT balance shaft the the mark as on TOP at the 12 o'clock mark instead of 5 o'clock like what I've seen in the videos and where the mark is supposed to be.
When I am put the new belt on, do I put it at the same old location or where it is supposed to be at? The car ran smooth before, no issue.
Let's say I put it at the "wrong" position what is the worst that it can happen?
How it is on my car

You will likely have horrendous engine vibration if you do not have the shaft aligned correctly. If you don't feel like fixing it the correct way, you can just cut the balance shaft belt and remove it. You will add a small amount of NVH but your oil temps will thank you since those shafts spin at 2x engine speed.
