I did the best I could putting these rear panels on but it looks like they should have been shifted forward a 1/4 inch but that would've made my plastic door trim pieces not line up
I was able to get it a little more lined up by pushing the bumper back by making the bolt hole that holds it on at each side a little bigger then bolting it down. Bumper bubbles out a little though. Im just looking for a shortcut to fix it or ideas to hide it like idk
I'm thinking it is lined up correctly it's just defective panel because it was supposed to go straight across in that misaligned corner, but instead it curves up so i had to add that little corner piece on. I'm thinking if i whacked it from inside in the right places it would line up and any other deformations i could bondo, as long lines line up id be happy
I was going to say the bumper cover doesn't look like OEM from what I remember. All I've seen (are hatches) but the line is straight not cut down at an angle like yours right at the ends.
Yes it does look bad but you shoulda seen it before this. Anyway at least the lines are lined up enough now, i can smooth the rest out with hammer and dolly and mud.
