HELP!
I recently swapped a built B18b1(OBD2) with a manual transmission into my 2000 Automatic Civic! Everything's in place only thing missing is the wiring!
Here's my issue... The 00 auto civic is OBD2B and the engine wiring harness I have is OBD2A. I have a chipped p4r (OBD1) and the adapter to plug it. Since the car is OBD2B and manual, the dash wiring plug does not match up...
(see pictures) Engine Wiring harness (OBD2A) Dash wiring plug Green plug does match with the one on the engine harness but does not have the same wire pine out
What would be the best way to go about this issue?
Get a 99-00 Civic si engine harness (i believe they are obd2b) or change the dash wiring for a manual ek dash wiring harness?
This is my first post on here please help
Thank you
Get a '99-00 Civic EX or Si engine harness and plug it in to your chassis/dash harness. Most plugs should connect to the OBD-2 style engine... except the distributor plugs will have to be modified in some way. The IAT sensor plug should also be converted to an OBD-1 style clip since you intend to use an OBD-1 ECU. The 4th ECU plug on the engine harness (for automatic transmission function) will not be used.

So you are saying use a d serie engine harness and modify the few plugs that don't work?
I can do that! Thanks

YES... Absolutely. Also, don't forget to do the wiring conversion at the center tunnel auto shifter assembly so that the auto chassis will be tricked into thinking it is a manual. If you want to do this easily, a member here named chuck chainz can get you hooked up with an auto-to-manual conversion sub harness so this issue is solved with a plug-n-play solution.
