Default shifter rod wobbly

Hi,

I was under my car and noticed that the shifter rod has a lot of jiggle in it. Is this a clear sign that something in the rod assembly is bad or can it be something else? Is it usually just the bushings that need replaced? Also, does this looseness tend to result in loss of transmission fluid? Thank you,

Thank you standard235. It seems that my shifter rod (#12) is bad. The extension rod (#14) is solid at both ends. Can the bushings at the front end of the shifter rod be changed? I do not see part numbers for them, so I am guessing not? If not, can the shifter rod be purchased separately? I am only seeing the entire linkage for sale online. Cheers,
