DC5 Type R Electrical Problem
Hi,
My 2005 DC5 Type R suffered a problem with the crank sensor, it shorted out and melted back the wiring on the harness including the CKP sensor itself.
I have replaced the sensor with a OEM unit and replaced the burnt out wires on the harness but now have a new problem.
As soon as I connected the battery and went to go into the car the dash lights were on without the key in the ignition. I went to start the car and the lights did not change and also the fuel pump did not prime.
I started to remove fuses and all are fine along with the relays however, when I remove fuse 6 under the hood the lights go out on the dash. When putting my key in the ignition at this point the lights turned on as normal and I could hear the pump prime.
The problem is as I removed fuse 6 I cannot start the car and am back to square one.
Anyone have any suggestions as to what it could be causing this?
Thanks
