2003 Civic GLI Fan Issues
Noticed car heating up in some stop and go (fine after driving normally out of the stop and go, and have never seen it heat up before), checked rad fan (from front of hood fan on the left ac on the right) and it's not running at all. Steps taken
- Top rad hose is hot so ok
- Check fuse, ok
- Swap with AC fan relay, same issue
- Smack fan (lol), same issue
- Pulled fan switch off the tstat and jumped it, the AC con fan turned on??? but no rad fan
I guess the only other thing to check is if the fan connector is getting voltage or not but don't have a multimeter atm.
But either 1 of 2 things I think, 1 bad rad fan or 2 previous owner janked the wiring. Loom from the sensor and to the fans looks untouched though. Can anyone confirm if their AC con fan turns on when their rad fan does from this era?
Was going to hook the AC con fan to the rad fan feed to check but it's too short to try.
