Icon4 Start/No-Start | Overcompensated Injector Fuel Cycle Issue LS/VTEC TURBO

Hello Everyone,

I would just like to start by saying thank you for taking the time to read my post.

Car:
1997 Civic sedan
LS/Vtec (GSR) turbo
Supertech springs and retainers 85lb
BLOX 1000cc injectors
s300
AEM fuel rail
Hybrid Racing 355 fuel pump
if u need any other info please ask......

The Issue:

The car seems to be having some sort of fuel issue. The first fuel issues presented themselves at the dyno. My tuner is Ralph, he is very reputable and well known in Ontario, so it can not be fault from him. Essentially on the dyno the car made 325hp at 75-80% injector duty cycle, Ralph found this alarming as usually he only needs to go up to 50% injector duty cycle on similar builds to make 325hp. He kept increasing the duty cycle expecting significant changes in power numbers but the changes were really small, we were aiming for 400 but something with the fuel system and the duty cycle stopped us it seems.

Now after the dyno I am having a start/No-Start issue. About 60% of the time when I go to start the car it turns on no issues. other 40% of the time it will either do one of the following: It will keep keep cranking but not start, or it will start then idle will fall off and it will die and when I go to start it again it will do the same crank but no start issue.

I have redone all the grounds, the shop used is Jtec here in Brampton, he is very well known and very reputable and his builds are quality, however neither me, him, or Ralph have any idea as to what the issue could be. When its running it runs mint no issues no fuel starvation or anything, its almost as if sometimes the injectors want to work and sometimes they completely don't want to work. When its doing the no start issue where it keeps cranking it will eventually start but I need to turn the key over like 10 times and basically 1 out of the 10 times it will start normally and sit and idle no issue.

It has a oem fuel pressure regulator, and stock fuel lines. Its so odd if it was like all ways starving this would make sense but the issue is either happening or not happening, no battery issue, I can keep cranking it and the lights on the dash wont dim or anything, im really confused and have no idea what the issue could be.

I can send the injectors in to be replaced with warranty but if they find out nothing is wrong with them I am going to have to pay many fees out of pocket.

If you have any questions for me please ask I am so lost and have no idea what to do.

Shot in the dark, but from what you're describing it sounds like the injectors aren't getting good/consistent power.

I'm not familiar with Blox injectors. Some of their other products historically have been questionable, they've had a reputation for years as being a copy-cat company, and some of their imitations are better than others.
