Help with mini me swap
I have a 2000 civic coupe with 15b2 block d16y7 head and y8 intake manifold. Y7 harness I got it going but idles around 2k and is in limp mode won’t pass 3500rpm
I’ve read other articles, and everything is very inconsistent as what I need.
I know I need to converted to probably OBD 0 but what ecu do I need make everything work
and the few times I’ve had it on I never had a check engine light

I did that swap a couple of years ago, and I remember that the y7 had a different air idle control valve than the y8, the connectors are different so you cant just plug the y7 harness into the y8 iacv, that alone should be throwing you a code, does your check engine light flash when you go to turn the car on? im thinking the bulb might be out, cause im pretty sure that should throw you a code, idk. Unless you fixed the iacv connector already.
but if you where doing a y7 block with a y8 head, you would need a y8 ecu, but since you are just using the manifold, i think you should be using the y7 ecu, but you would probably still have to do something about the iacv as its gonna be different than the one thats on the y7 manifold.
If i remember correctly i had to do something with the throttle body as well but idk its been a while.
And i dont know anything about the block you are using, idk if the sensors match up to that harness or not.
Sorry i couldnt be more helpful ha, hopefully someone smarter than me who actually knows what they are talking about can correct me if i said something wrong ha.
