So I have my y7 head removed from block and I intend to do all new gaskets etc.. I just need to know if there is a way to to tell if the gunk on the pistons and valve is typically or if it's rings or something just don't want to get it all assembled a sealed and something be off still. It's got lil over 280k on it and ran decent.also if I am able tk just clean it how should I go about that. I can get pics of the head after I'm off of work. Any help and advice is appreciated! ( not incompetent lol)
