New member seeking help w/2005 Accord EX 2dr 3.0L
Greetings! My 2005 Accord EX 3.0L says HELP!
I've owned this 2005 Accord V6 for about 5 years, and it has been nothing but grief with randomly setting code P2279. Yesterday, all of a sudden everything went haywire (TCS warning light, power brakes quit working, engine RPM's surging, hard to start and it set codes P2101 and P2176 besides). I've tried looking for any information concerning the Throttle Actuator Control Module, but haven't found any, other than it's under a kick panel inside. I'd rebuilt the throttle body when I installed the new timing belt components, and also installed a set of balanced flow injectors, plus, have been getting the P2279 code sporadically for several years ever since. Had the ECM/PCM/ECU flashed to the latest available upgrade for the 2005 (2014 I think), and it still continues to pop the P2279 code whenever it wants to (usually with hard acceleration, but then it goes off by itself within 50 miles...), plus now it barely runs and popped the P2101 and P2176 codes. I love this car. I've rebuilt just about every major system so far, and I refuse to give up this car and solving these bewildering code issues! Anyone have similar experiences or would care to enlighten me?
!. For the P2279 code, I've smoke tested everything multiple times, found no leaks, replaced manifold gaskets, heard tales of using premium / race / octane boosted fuel, O2 sensors and on and on. Now it goes haywire and the P2279 code is no longer there. I'm really confused as to why the TCS warning light came on, and why I have no power brakes. It kept dying, then would only idle with the RPM surging, and then I discovered the Throttle Actuator codes being set.
