I have a 95 Civic Dx Coupe manual. I got this car from my dad and havent been able to get it started. Crank not start issue.
I have change the Distributor
New Starter
New Ignition System
New Main Relay
New battery
New Spark Plugs and wire
Put it in time
Compression is good
Checked and replaced fuses
Still all it does is crank hard and just wont kick over. I hear the fuel pump prime. All lights on the dash comes on including the beeping when you put the key in. Non of the center info works though( AC, Radio)
Im stuck. My dad said the previous owner had a kill switch on it which he tapped into the ignition with but i had all that replaced anyway so not sure if its still a factor. I have a video with it cranking I just stuck any help would be more than apprecitated.

 

use some tb cleaner and see if it starts. if it does, then you have confirmed that it is fuel related.
have you checked for spark?

 

yeah I sprayed some in there still no start. Checking for spark today I got the wrong spark plug tester so I gotta go back and get another

 

I know you said you checked fuses, but did you confirm they have voltage?

they have test pins at the top, test both sides
test all the fuses, it's so simple.

 

Checked all that and good and still same issues

 

confirm you are getting voltage to the dizzy?

 

How do I check that?

What do you mean by "ignition system"? Which parts did you replace?

you say you hear the pump priming. Have you verified fuel/ fuel pressure at the rail?

 

Sorry I wasnt getting emails. New development. I bypassed my clutch saftey switch with a paper clip to run some more test.( got tired of reaching under there and hitting the button) When I went to crank it she fired right up. Ran for 15min I turned it off to try and restart it before I took it for a test drive and now nothing back to the same issue crank no start. But not my dome lights are on and my lights behind my dash and my ac lights(still no radio) but I sprayed a little starter fluid in the throttle body and she did a little hiccup while cranking but wouldnt kick over. Now when I crank it and stop its got like a gulp sound when its done cranking. Tried to explain it the best i could.

 

I got a whole knew ignition with keys.

 

I have not verified that yet. I will tomorrow after work though

 

Update, Sprayed a lot of starter fluid in it and it fired up again so pretty certain its the fuel pump? But i hear it prime and I installed a new relay so not really sure?

 

Fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, fuel injectors. there are youtube videos on how to check all of them.

 

Just because the pump primes, doesn't mean it's getting fuel. Verify fuel pressure at the rail.

If it has pressure at the rail, check voltage at the injectors.

it could be as stupid as a clogged filter, line, ect. Stop throwing money at it.
