Fuel problems
I got a 91 civic hatch with a d15b7 that’s having some fuel issues. I blew a fuse for the fuel pump relay, changed the fuse, and dropped the tank because we thought we were having more than one problem (this car has been a big work in progress since I bought it and has been one thing after another). After we got the pump working correctly and the car running again, it’s been occasionally sputtering and dying out, and then will fire right up again and run like there’s not a single problem. We followed the fuel lines because i felt like it was a fuel pressure issue, to find that one of them is wide open in the passenger footwell. Is that supposed to be connected to something or am I following the wrong lead? The other two lines are connected to the motor where they’re supposed to be.
I assume you are talking about the hardline that exits the firewall just above the heater core. That is for the EVAP system and should connect into the vacuum system. This provides pressure release of your gas tank. Find a vacuum diagram for your engine and validate the vacuum lines are properly routed.
Sorry for the late *** response, been a bit busy with other things.
But thanks, that’s the one. I have another question now though, would a charcoal canister from a 1990 work in the 95 motor? I have 2 parts cars, (ones a project but I’m using some stuff from both in the main car) and one has a canister in it still. Both are d15 blocks so I’m kinda assuming it’ll be fine but wasn’t sure.
