my civic, which one is it?? (i am new!!) hehe
WASSAP AND MUCH LOVE TO EVERYONE ON THESE BOARDS
i am from the bay area cali, i dont actually own the civic, my friend does, but we are a team so i am posting for the both of us heheh
we have a 2000 honda civic HX 2 door !! what is the chasis code on that??
and if someone could give me the codes for the other civics (such as hatchback ) and even the integra i would appreciate it!!
alas, the car is a cvt auto, and i am trying to convince him to do a B18C 5 - speed swap!! if someone could tell him how what CVT is (and maybe how it and automatic isnt that good, i would appreciate it!!) he wants to drag first and then autocross, so any input would be appreciated.
and lasty, we rotated his tires and one of the threads got stipped!! is there a way to fix that and how much would it cost!! thanks!!

well, as i said its my friends car, and he bought it without my consent ahah so he never learned to drive manula, so now i need to convince him manual is for the TRUE ENTHUSIAST! hehe
CVT = continously variable transmision, which means its and auto tranny that doesnt have any gears, like a 4 spd auto would, it just slides up a cone type thing instead of shifting gears.
secondly autos alone are bad for racing unless its strong as all hell, but i imagine a CVT transmition is even worse than a regular auto. and he is goin to be slow as hell in a drag race so dont plan on winning ever.
ok if he has the money to drop in a B18C5, that would be tight as hell, but the guy is goin to have to learn how to drive a damn manual. he will also have to have a clutch pedal and master cylinder and all that junk installed so he can even use a manual. well good luck.

hatchbacks are EJ6 in north america....EK9 in Japan
integra 94-01 is DC2 ....90-93 is DA
just get a new bolt for it at honda..and replace it shouldn't be too much
