Hey everyone! i’m thinking of putting a b20 from an early crv into my Ek civic and have been told as long as i have the ecu, harness and everything to go with the b20 it will more or less drop in. is this true?

and also would i be able to put on a b18 vtech head on later and run it with the same ecu?

As long as your EK is a '96-98 model, it should work. However, there may be issues in integration this way... it is always better to use the engine harness that comes in your car and modify it to fit the engine. Also, the B20 intake manifold may not fit under your hood... replacing it with the '96-01 Integra LS/RS/GS intake manifold will make things work. This change reduces the effectiveness of the tune from the stock CRV ECU... and although the LS/RS/GS ECU (P74 or P75) will be slightly better, the tune is still not optimum. You cannot place a VTEC head on top later and the stock ECU still properly run the engine... it has no way of knowing that the cylinder head was changed and there is no optput for the VTEC solenoid.
