Default I have no idea what I'm doing

Ok so for an introduction,
I bought an ed hatch for $100 with no engine. I have no previous knowledge of working on cars. The same guy was selling a fully built d16y7 -crank from an ek for $600. My friend told me to buy it and here I am 6 months later. What was supposed to be a bolt in swap has had many many issues. To start, would running a high comp, bored, and stroked motor on dpfi misfire and kill itself? I understand that it's not really possible to tune dpfi and there are no base maps for an obd0 y7. I really need to just get the car started and then I'll worry about mpfi swap if I need to. I was wondering if anyone had a radiator hose map for a y7 swap in an ed chassis? Im also missing all my vac lines. Another problem Ive run into is that my model came with power steering??? I don't have a pump so I was wondering how I would go about deleting it. All of this is assuming my y7 will run on the pm5 ecu with dpfi. Sorry for anyone who actually knows what they're doing and had to read this hahaha.

I posted this on a few forums because forums are dead and I kinda need responses within the next ten years ahaha

You can run a D16y7 on an OBD0 ecu.

Since the car isn't running right now, spend the time and convert it to MPFI. You can basically make it a 'period correct' Si build with a D16 in it (minus the A6, but the Y7 is a decent runner, I had one in my CRX HF and it was 'quick'.)

Or just spend the time to convert it to OBD1. Y8 manifold (because it looks cool) and you'll have a tunable ecu as well.

Thank you for clarifying the y7 will work with obd0 dpfi :D
I would totally convert to mpfi but I have $300 and no way to make more money right now as Im 15. I was planning to swap to mpfi along with the y8 sohc vtec or do an mpfi obd0 swap and learn to tune on turboedit. Also thought it would be interesting to run dpfi one wire vtec but since no one else does it I assume it's a bad idea haha. I'll be able to swap to mpfi next summer when I can get more money and time. My friend also gave me a gm8 6.5l td turbo for if I do obd1 swap but I don't know if I want that much power in my first car I mainly just need the car to run and drive by December to get to school (20mi round) Also previous owner threw away half the parts (including wiring harness!?) after pulling the d15b2 from it so that's why Im out of money

Thank you so much for the quick response!
