Temperature gauge not working correctly
Hey fellas, I have a '93 civic ex that has had a overheating problem for a while. Found out on your blog that the problem was a minor head gasket breach. So I took it to a shop and had it replaced. The shop also replaced the fan switch and the temperature sending unit. Since I got it back, the temperature gauge is not working right. When we start it and warm it up, it goes to normal. (1/3rd) When we start driving it moves to half way up, sometimes a little higher and fluctuates up and down from normal position to a little higher than half way, but it shows no signs of overheating! No excessive coolant in the reservoir, cooling fan working, can even remove the radiator cap with no pressure being released. So, what's going on here? Is the new temp sending unit just too sensitive? Is there a problem with the wiring or the connector? I just need to know that I can rely on the gauge to tell me when it's overheating. Can anyone give me a heads up about what to do?

Bleed the cooling system, you may have an air pocket causing all this
