No electrical power to dash and engine unless CEL ECU jumped
Long time lurker here. I have a b18b swapped into a 92 civic eg hatch. I'm using the original harness from the 92 civic d series on my b18b, and I'm using the p75 b18b ecu. The engine will only turn over 2 or 3 times before I loose electrical power to my dash and everything else. It basically seems like a dead battery. If I just turn off the car and remove the keys and try again I will not have any electrical power. If I then jump the ECU pin for checking CEL codes, I will get electrical power back to my dash and I can crank the engine again (only turns over a couple times before dying). It seems like jumping the ECU CEL pin somehow helps the system reset, or recycle or something, because I have to jump and unjump the ECU CEL pin in order to get electrical power to everything. The car runs and if I jump and unjump eventually I can get it to start. Anybody ever experienced this? Also I will get a check engine light while driving that doesn't stay logged in the ECU after I turn off the car to Jump the ECU CEL pin and read it, it always clears.
