Default 98 Honda Prelude Build F20A4 -> H22A

Hello there
seeking help. I have a 98 Honda Prelude with the stock F20A4, looking to vtec swap it.

I just got my hands on a 2.2 Vtec H22A - 1104363 with a transmission.
my problems so far is that aquiring the ECU, my prelude is factory immobilized so I don't know if to get it reprogramed or is there a way around this. Also I noticed some ecus have different plugs so I honestly lost as to which one to buy. I'm sure I read the drive shafts should fit and engine mounts Aswell.

If anyone could assist that would be amazing.

You are putting a different engine into a car that had a different engine. This typically means the wiring harnesses are different. Vtec solenoid for example is extra. It's not as simple as buying an ecu unless you get a standalone ems (aem for example) for the stock F20A4 (to fit ecu connectors) and then on the standalone you can switch it to h22a mapping. With that being said, I would recommend you contact any aftermarket honda shop in your area or even outside of your area just to get more information. There are tons of places that do hondas and I'm sure this isn't too hard for them.
