00 si clone ac repair
Hey guys I just picked up a 2000 civic ex with a b16a swap. I dropped it at the local shop with a b series mounting bracket to get an ac compressor installed, informing him of the swap, and he contacted me asking if I had another bracket and a tensioner.
...wut.
I'm almost certain he wound up ordering a D series compressor. He said there was "horizontal intercourse". My question is if this is the case and he were trying to put a D series compressor on it would these be the issues he would run into? The only diagrams I can find are for D series so I could see where the mistake was made. He's a good guy and a very busy mechanic. Thanks for any input.

In short, if you have original lines on the car, and the mechanic purchased the "D" series compressor... he did the correct thing. Now you simply have to get him the correct A/C bracket.

OP, you need to provide more information here. Normally, when installing a "B" series engine in a '92-00 Civic, you would keep ALL of the "D" series A/C parts (lines, condenser, dryer, and compressor) and use the '94-97 Del Sol VTEC or '97-01 CR-V A/C bracket. The factory part numbers are 38930-P54-000 and 38930-P7J-000 respectively. If you try to use an Integra A/C bracket and compressor, you then have to modify the A/C lines to connect to the chassis... they don't just bolt on to the "B" series compressor.
