Hi everyone. I was driving my Civic earlier today and windows worked fine. Before it went wrong, I got in my car, started it, pressed the switch down and window worked fine. I got home and tried to close the window. Nothing.
Now the window is stuck open. I checked the fuse. It looks fine, but I changed it for a fresh one just to be sure. Still nothing. Took the door panel off to look at the regulator. Doesn't look like its faulty? I've been driving the car for over a month and never had an issue.
Theres no sound coming from the motor when the switch is toggled. I checked the door harness with a multimeter to see if its getting a current. it is (Blue and black wire I believe).
I'm scratching my head over this. Currently, I unbolted the glass from the regulator. Pushed the glass up and used tape to hold it up while the car is parked overnight. Any ideas? How can I check if the switch is faulty? And was I using the correct pin on the harness to check voltage?
Since the window switch is discontinued and no longer available new from Honda, I'm attempting to restore the switch I have already. Anyone know how to pop these caps off without breaking them?
The lock switch works and so does the switch for passenger side window (This is switch assembly for RHD car).
I had the same problem with my em1 and my tl on the driver side. The issue was that the cable mechanism on the regulator was came unraveled causing the window to become unresponsive when you hit the button. I replaced the regulator and motor together with a unit from rock auto.

With the switch unplugged, I used some wire and a car battery, to bypass the switch. Using the correct pins on the harness, I got the glass to move up and down. I don't think its the motor or regulator?
